Kroctoberfest Gala to Open Kroc Center

Greenville, SC – The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center announces plans for the Kroctoberfest Gala on Thursday, September 29, 2011. The Kroctoberfest Gala will mark the official opening of the Kroc Center and will also be the first time the community sees the entire 73,000 square foot facility located in Downtown Greenville. The event will begin at 6:00 pm at the Kroc Center, which is located at 424 Westfield Street, Greenville, SC, 29601. Proceeds from the event will benefit programs and membership scholarships at the Kroc Center.

Guests will enjoy live music with the Professors of Soul performing, be treated to delectable fare from local culinary artists, and bid on exciting packages in the live and silent auctions. Tickets are $75 per person; Tickets for the “Pride of the Carolinas” VIP Party are $100, which includes special guests as we celebrate the only Kroc Center in the Carolinas.

The Kroctoberfest Gala will start weekend long activities for Kroctoberfest that will run through Sunday, October 2, 2011 and celebrate the opening of the Kroc Center. Additional activities for the weekend include, but are not limited to: community tours on Friday and Saturday; athletic exhibition matches; a performance by the Greenville Symphony Orchestra on October 1 at noon; and, the official Dedication Ceremony on Sunday, October 2 at 3:00 pm.
