Sports Ministry Program
The Sports Ministry Program here at The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center will provide a platform for evangelism through sports, recreation and leisure activities. It is designed to provide a fun, competitive and safe environment for athletes both young and old, and provide opportunities to discover and develop lasting friendships.
The youth sports programs will help teach the fundamental skills and rules for sports such as soccer, basketball, flag football and other team sports. The program will promote team work, good sportsmanship and fair play among all athletes. The positive impact of sports can change and help mold the life of a child.
Volunteer opportunities for parents, family and those in the community are available to help encourage you to get involved and be a part of the success of our youth sports program.
The adult sports program will provide a way for people from all walks of life to come and fellowship together through sports competition. We look to bring people into our doors and provide them the opportunity to share and discuss their faith openly with others. A bridge will be built between people in the community and the center. The development of relationships in the Sports Ministry Program will go a long way in strengthening our community.
