Wellness programs at The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center can assist you in setting and attaining your personal wellness and fitness goals.  Allow our experienced and well trained staff to support you in realizing the best you.  Wellness and Fitness programming includes a family fitness area equipped with cardio and circuit equipment, group fitness classes, personal training sessions, nutrition consultation, boot camps and more.

Adult Fitness Orientation

Meet with one of our fitness staff for a complimentary fitness equipment orientation. You will learn how to set programs for treadmills, ellipticals and bikes. Also, you will learn how to properly set and adjust strength equipment for your individual need. Please see one of our fitness or membership staff to schedule an appointment.

Fitness Evaluation

Would you like a baseline before starting your exercise program? Let us perform a fitness evaluation which includes:

  • Blood Pressure - Heart Rate Recovery Test
  • Flexibility Test - Body Composition
  • Strength Test - Starting Weight

Having this information will help motivate and challenge you to improve no matter where your starting point begins. We can re-test periodically to track your improvement. See fitness staff to schedule an appointment.

Senior Aerobics

Senior Aerobics is a class designed specifically with senior adults in mind. The class will focus on functional movement, strength, flexibility and balance. The loss of these motor skills over time can lower our quality of life and make basic daily functions difficult for senior adults. Come join us for a fun workout and keep your body moving.

Senior Strength Training

Senior Strength Training is a class design to teach seniors the benefits of strength and resistance training. They will also learn the principles of intensity, duration, and frequency of activity. Resistance training can help with balance and increase muscle strength, muscle endurance and bone density. Class participants will learn how to properly use all the equipment and be shown correct exercise form.

Teen Fitness Class

Teens from the ages 13 – 15 who wish to use the fitness center must first complete the Teen Fitness class. The class will teach proper use of each piece of exercise equipment. The teen will also learn about proper exercise programming and proper nutrition. After completion of the class, the teen may use the fitness center from 3p.m. – 5p.m. Monday – Friday.

Personal Training

Let a Certified Personal Trainer create a specialized fitness program to help you reach your specific fitness goals through one-on-one or semi-private training. A trainer can help you stay motivated and focused on your goals which will help you attain the desired results.

Personal Training Rates

Private - $35.00 hr. / $25.00 ½ hr.
Semi-Private (2 people) - $25.00 hr. per person / $20.00 ½ hr. per person

Commitment Package

Private - 20 one hour sessions $600
Semi-Private (2 people) - 20 one hour sessions $400 per person
Private - 20 half hour sessions $450
Semi-Private (2 people) - 20 half hour sessions $350 per person (Clients have 90 days to use all 20 sessions)

Fitness Boot Camp

Get ready for a hard workout in a group environment. Lead by a certified trainer, you will move fast and efficient through drills and multiple exercises in order to challenge you and force you to improve. The group setting will keep you motivated and help you push through those challenging moves when you feel like stopping.

 

Ages 16+
Cost (For 1 month):
Members: $45.00  / Non-Members: $85.00
Cost (Drop – in): Members: $5.00  / Non-Members: $10.00

Duration: 1 month (12-14 camps)

Home School P.E.

Children

This class is designed to provide children who are home schooled the opportunity to interact with other children in a fun and active environment. The class will focus on different skills and sports each month teaching the child rules of the game, proper techniques and help develop motor skills and hand eye coordination.

 

Ages: 5 – 12
Cost: $30.00 first child  / $50.00 per family each month
Kroc members receive a 20% discount
Days: Monday and Thursday
Times: 12 – 2

First class starts Thursday November 3rd

Teens

This class will provide teens who are home schooled the opportunity to interact with other teens in a healthy and active environment. They will be given the tools to stay in good shape and maintain a healthy life-style while being challenged and having fun. The class will use sports drills and challenging exercises to help them reach their goals.

 

Ages: 13 – 17
Cost: $30.00 first child / $50.00 per family each month
Kroc members receive a 20% discount
Days: Monday and Thursday
Time: 12 – 2
