SLOW DOWN SHOWDOWN 

When it comes to our Kroc Team, YOU motivate US! That’s why we are excited to bring you the Slow Down Showdown: A five-week competition that tracks both community impact and physical impact. Earn points for completing workouts and for staying busy around your house.

Best of all, both children and adults can participate in this contest. At the end of the contest, exciting prizes will be awarded to participants with the most points!

To be eligible for prizes you must sign up through Google Forms using the buttons below each challenge description.

ADULT CHALLENGE 

April 15 – May 19 | Ages 15+  | Free for everyone

Each activity you complete and submit will earn participation points for the day. The top three participants who earn the most points over the 5-week challenge will win a prize.

First place will win a $50 Kroc gift card, t-shirt, and local business goodies!

Second place will win a $30 Kroc gift card and local business goodies!

Third place will win a $20 Kroc gift card and t-shirt!

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE

  1. Send a picture of yourself participating in a Kroc Virtual Fitness Class to us at Krocgreenvillemarketing@gmail.com
  2. Ready a positive story or article.
  3. Write a handwritten letter or card and send it to a family member or friend.
  4. Organize a closet or room in your house.
  5. Take a thirty-minute walk.
  6. Watch the sunset or sunrise for a full ten minutes.
  7. Cook a meal with your family.
  8. Read a Kroc Blog
  9. Do sixty minutes of exercise (walking, yoga, cycling, etc.).
  10. Learn something new
  11. Signup for a Greenville Library eCard: Greenville Library eCard
  12. Start a journal / write in your journal.
  13. Spend twenty minutes working on a puzzle.
  14. Start or weed a flower or vegetable garden.
  15. Start a virtual book club with family or friends.
  16. Check out M. Judson Booksellers for curbside pickup!
  17. Dress up or dress down. Head outside and take pictures during the golden hour.
  18. Try out meditation exercises on your favorite app, or try these Furman Reflections and Exercises.
  19. Try out an at-home kit from a Greenville business. Here are some options: Clay to Go with Hollowed Earth Pottery, Pizza Kits from Fork and Plough, DIY Cupcake Kits from Strossner’s Bakery, Café and Deli
  20. Donate to a community cause that’s important to you! Whether it be a can of dog food to an animal shelter, food supplies to a food bank, or a random act of kindness, it makes a difference!

  6. Make a healthy snack of help your family make dinner.
  7. Play a board game with your family – or invent your own board game.
  8. Write a handwritten letter or card and send it to a family member or friend.
  9. Go on a Hiking Scavenger Hunt around your neighborhood.
  10. Learn something new.
  11. Signup for a Greenville Library eCard: Greenville Library eCard.
  12. Start a journal / write in your journal – or draw in your journal!
  13. Go on a virtual visit to the South Carolina Aquarium.
  14. Check out the Greenville Zoo’s Giraffe Cam.
  15. Watch a Roper Mountain Science Video and learn exciting science.
  16. Try a LesMills Kids Class.
  17. Try out an at-home kit from a Greenville business. Here are some options: Cookie Cut Out Kit from Marble Slab and Great American Cookies, Cupcake Kits from The Chocolate Moose Bakery and Café, and Pottery from Color Clay Café
  18. Draw a picture of what you want to be when you grow up and send it to krocgreenvillemarketing@gmail.com.
  19. Draw with chalk outside. Don’t forget to draw and play hopscotch!
  20. Make homemade playdough.
