If you participate in Group Fitness at Kroc Greenville, you probably know Jennifer, our Fitness Manager.

Jennifer not only oversees a wide range of offerings, from Personal Training and Group Fitness to Kroc Fit and Senior Programs, but she also is passionate about sharing information to help guests on their journeys in becoming healthier, more active and more confident.

Jennifer’s Top Ten Tips for Forming Healthy Habits

  1. Micro workouts count! Everyone can find 10 minutes during the day to workout. Whether at the gym or at home, you can get it done!
  2. Have a plan and stick to it! Find motivation with a time-based fitness challenge.
  3. Keep it simple! Workouts don’t need to be complicated. If you are just starting out on your fitness journey, keep the exercises basic.
  4. You can get a lot done in 30 minutes. Most people think you need an hour in the gym. However, any amount of time you are moving makes a difference. Try a 30 minute HIIT class!
  5. The best workout is the one you enjoy! Fitness is for everyone. Find something that makes you feel good and stick with it.
  6. Weight loss will happen slowly. Making better food choices and committing to a workout schedule are the keys to success.
  7. You can’t go wrong by moving. When it comes down to time, even if you only have 20 minutes, just move. Try a total body interval workout.
  8. Yoga is harder than you think! It may be intimidating at first. Practice makes perfect! Yoga is essential for mind, body and spirit.
  9. Fueling your workout is important. What you put in your body to fuel your workout and what you put in after for recovery matters. Choose unprocessed foods, whole grains, lean protein and healthy fats to get your fire burning.
  10. The key is to keep coming back. Falling off of the workout bandwagon comes with consequences. In order to feel successful, make a plan and commit to your fitness routine.

Cardiovascular Fitness: If you are looking to improve your cardiovascular fitness, try one of our indoor cycling classes. We offer these classes every morning and evening!

Strength: For overall body conditioning and improvements in strength, try Boot Camp, Body Pump or Kettlebell AMPD.

For Seniors: Looking for fitness, fun and community? Join us Monday – Friday at 11:00 AM in our Silver Sneakers classes.

For Active Older Adults: Try out our Aqua Fitness Classes. These classes are easy on joints, low-impact, and provide great overall fitness. These classes are offered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 10:00 AM.
