League play is a prominent aspect of Kroc Tennis! Teams for every age, gender, and skill level are registered through USTA and local flex league program.

Director of Tennis
Anibal Braga serves as Director of Tennis for the Kroc Tennis Center. Anibal was hired as Head Teaching Professional July 2011 upon the opening of the Tennis Center whereby he continues to build and lead adult and junior programming. For 9 years prior, he was the Director of Tennis at Green Valley Country Club in Greenville, SC. Anibal earned a BS in Marketing and an MBA from Auburn University at Montgomery, where his teams won two NAIA National Championship tennis titles. He served as Assistant Coach at Auburn University Montgomery (1996-7) and Clemson University (1998-2001). Anibal is a PTR Certified Professional, a Senior Instructor at the Clemson University Tennis Camp, as well as a Certified Yoga Instructor. Anibal was named 2017 USTA South Carolina John Newcomb Tennis Pro of the Year.
Ashley is a USPTA Certified Professional who has a solid playing and teaching background. Since 2015, Ashley has been teaching adults and juniors at the Kroc Tennis Center. Developing a player’s game is her motivation. Having fun along the way is her joy. Ashley has taught tennis in Colorado and Virginia, developing programs and camps all the while. Ashley played for Florida Southern College and Georgia Southern University, where she earned a BS in Marketing and several academic and athletic awards.
Teaching Professional/Master Racquet Technician
Brad Cranford is a PTR Certified Professional and USRSA Master Racquet Technician who joined the Kroc Tennis team in 2011. Prior to Kroc, Brad was a store manager at Sports Authority for 18 years. Brad owned and managed a tournament racquet stringing team which traveled to ITF, ATP, WTA, and USTA events servicing the racquets of the touring pros. Brad played varsity tennis at USC Union and USC Spartanburg and graduated from the PTR Van der Meer Tennis University in 1988. He has been the Associate Director of the USC Tennis Camps for 25 years and has coached high school and collegiate tennis.
Calvin is a PTR Certified Professional who simply loves being on the court. Whether he is competing or teaching, he puts it all out there.
Calvin joined the Kroc team in 2016. He graduated from University of Charleston West Virginia with a BS in Health Sciences Athletic Training. He is currently pursuing another degree in Psychology.
Rob is a PTR Certified Professional with seventeen years of experience directing a variety of tennis programs in New Jersey, Wisconsin, California and even Hawaii! His passion as a Special Education Teacher led him to use his tennis skills on and off the court with special and able bodied players. Rob has led camps, tennis academies, and even advised on a movie set. He has coached boys and girls varsity tennis teams and was selected as the 2002 New Jersey State Coach of the Year. Robert played varsity tennis at Lafayette College, where he earned a BA in Government Law and History and a Masters in Russian Literature and History. He grew up training at the Harry Hopman Tennis Academy in Florida, achieving a top 20 junior ranking in the USTA’s Eastern Section. Before deciding on a tennis career, he was an Underwriting Manager and an Account Executive for major financial companies. Rob is also a Platform Tennis Certified Instructor and player, ranked in the top 10 nationally numerous times since 1995.
Terry Rookard has been teaching tennis to adults and kids as long as he can remember! The Kroc Tennis Center has been his teaching grounds since the opening in 2011. Terry is the Head Tennis Coach for boys and girls at Southside High and has served in this role for the past 10 years. Terry has been awarded SC HS Coach of the Year 5 times! He is a former SC #1 in both singles and doubles.
