KROC SWIM ACADEMY (KSA)

Ages 6 - 18 | Competitive Programs

 Welcome to Kroc Swim Academy website registration and information page for new athletes!

Registration 2026-2027

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT(S):

  • Kroc Swim Academy is open to all swimmers ages 6-18.  All enrollees must be able to swim at least 15 yards freestyle independently with their head in the water.
  • Kroc membership is required to participate. Memberships will be available for setup at KSA orientation in August.
  • Two Registration payment options available: (1) monthly auto-draft between $110 - $155 depending on group, or (2) an annual upfront payment at a 10% discounted rate.
  • 5%  discount for siblings.
  • USA Swimming Membership: All KSA swimmers are required to be USA Swimming members.
  • All swimmers are required to be premium members, joining/renewing between 9/1/26 & 9/30/26, through the link to be emailed out, and please, only through that link (this is what ties your swimmer to KSA)..

TEAM ORIENTATION MEETINGS:

  • Athletes and guardians are required to attend 1 of 2 team orientation meetings to finalize paperwork and go over team expectations and paperwork
  • Dates for team orientation:
  • Thursday, August 13th, 6:00pm - 6:30pm or Wednesday, August 19th, 6:00pm - 6:30pm​
  • Before orientation, at 5pm, evaluations are required for new Summiteers, prior to registration, and optional for other levels if you're unsure of the best fit.
  • ​RSVP is not required but requested by going to the "CALENDAR" page, and selecting your date of orientation and selecting "Yes" or "No" for your athlete

PRACTICES:

  • The 2026-27 season runs August 24, 2026 through the April 15, 2027, with a banquet held on April 19, 2027.
  • All practices are held at the Kroc Center of Greenville.
  • Parents are responsible for swimmers' whereabouts before/after practice, and responsible for ensuring swimmers are out of the lap pool aside from their assigned or reserved times.
  • Swimmers must bring swimsuit, goggles, finish positive drive fins, and a towel.
  • KSA swimmers MUST scan their membership card daily upon entry.
  • Family members must make reservations and be members or purchase a $12 guest pass to use the facility. 
  • * No reservation or membership is required to watch swimmers. 
  • Unless returning, pre-approval is required for Summit.  By request, or at coach’s discretion, and dependent upon swimming experience, a stroke evaluation may be required before the 1st practice.​

SWIM MEETS:

  • Parents/guardians must provide supervision of their child at all attended swim meets, transportation to and from meets, and travel and overnight accommodations.  Additionally, parents must ensure their swimmers attend the team warm-ups at the appointed time, meeting at the times announced before the meets.
  • Most meets will be in South Carolina but some may be out of state.
  • Recommended meet items: deck chair, change of clothes, extra towels, snacks/beverages, and concession money.  Notes will be emailed out a few days before meets, usually on Wednesdays, indicating what items may be prohibited or encouraged
  • Meet Fees: Parents will register their swimmer for meets through their SportsEngine account via computer or app, and meets will be invoiced & charged within two weeks after the meets.  Fees can be estimated in advance using the meet information, usually on the last page. The host Meet Directors determine meet fees.

IN EVENT OF SWIM MEET CANCELLATION:

  • Swim meets will not be rescheduled due to inclement weather; meet times may be adjusted at a Meet Director’s discretion.
  • If a swimmer is registered for a meet, please plan to attend, and compete!
  • Unless notified of a cancellation ahead of time, plan to attend all scheduled practices. Cancellations will be announced via email.

PRE-SAIL

Ages 6 - 18 | Training Clinic

Kroc Swim Academy coaches designed this clinic to prepare swimmers who can safely swim 25 yards, unassisted, for summer swim leagues.

Improve freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, turns and starts as well as IMs/relays and proper warmups. Plus, expect lots of endurance building.

  • EXPLORE | Ages 6 - 12: Practices in the water on Mon/Wed 3:45pm-4:45pm with optional at home workouts.
  • VOYAGE | Ages 7+: Practices in the water on Tues/Thurs 3:45pm-4:45pm with dryland trainings on Wednesday 3:45pm-4:30pm.
  • ADVENTURE | Ages 8+: Practices only in the water on Mon/Thurs 4:45pm-6:15pm, Tuesday will be 4:45pm-5:15 dryland followed by a 5:15pm-6:15pm swim, and Friday will be 4:45pm-5:30pm dryland only.
  • SUMMIT | Ages 11+: Practices only in the water on Mon/Thurs 4:45pm-6:15pm, Tuesday will be 4:45pm-5:15 dryland followed by a 5:15pm-6:15pm swim, Wednesday will be a 4:45pm-5:45pm sprint swim, and Friday will be 4:45pm-5:30pm dryland only.
