What is therapeutic assisted stretching?
- While stretching alone is wonderful for everyone, a hands-on, therapeutic assisted stretch session is a game changer! There are multiple stretching styles, and Carrie specializes in "PNF" style stretching.
- Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), involves contracting and relaxing muscles to deepen range of motion.
- Resisting force while stretching and then relaxing into a passive stretch before repeating the contraction sends signals from the nervous system that tell the muscles it's safe to stretch farther.
- Sessions will help decrease stiffness and pain and can even enhance your athletic performance.

- Carrie has over a decade of yoga teaching experience, an Animal Flow certification (ground-based body-weight movement system), and grew up learning the workings of the human body through intense dance study.
- Carrie is a certified PNF stretch practitioner and certified Stretch Coach through the National Association of Sports Medicine.
